Your Cheeky Director – Leona Watson
Before Leona started Cheeky Food Group, she was a successful marketing consultant for both large and small corporations, including Microsoft in the UK, Optus, CBA, QANTAS, Virgin Mobile and MBF. She also worked in event management organising Australia Day activities and the massive Fosters Great Aussie Picnic in Brisbane for 60,000 and 100,000 people respectively. Yes big parties!
But her love of cooking, entertaining and throwing great parties sent her to the Whitsundays to work on a yacht as a cook and tour guide, then to complete Le Cordon Bleu training. Cheeky is the fulfilment of a long held dream….”to combine my corporate background and business skills, with my love of entertaining and bringing people together. Come to my place and you’re likely to end up in the kitchen …even if it’s pouring the cook a vino! Cheeky makes me smile every day, especially when I see our clients and our staff so happy with what we create”.

Our objective is to create big smiles all round and to bring people together, which is what being “Cheeky” is all about. And yes we all love a great party!”

Name…Ken Stewart
Position…Operations Manager
Life before Cheeky...Chefing in the UK, France Spain and Switzerland then a Film location chef and a private chef for actors. I then came to Australia (chased a girl, the girl didn’t work out but the country did) I found the produce in Australia to be some of the best in the World, so decided to stay. I then moved into Catering Operations management for 12 years, now happily at cheeky.
Favourite Dish…Wagyu steak (cooked Medium Rare), with a wild mushroom and truffle buerre blanc sauce, as well as Fish & chips – (still English).
What I love about working with Cheeky...The people, the people and the people who you meet as well as who I work with oh yes and the partying!

Life before Cheeky…I have been in hospitality and catering all my life since leaving school. I came over to Australia 9 years ago travelling and visiting my family in Perth, I decided that food, wine and quite importantly the weather was too good to be true and I came to Sydney and instantly settled.
Favourite Dish…It always come back to either Bangers and Mash or a Medium-rare Steak! A love all the fresh seafood and abundance of fresh herbs and Asian spices more readily available in Australia.
What I love about working with Cheeky...Bumping into personal friend who attended a Cheeky Event who was absolutely loving it! She explained that, “it was like doing a parachute jump and simply wanted to do it again and again! Awesome”!
